Welcome to episode 68 of The Human CEO Podcast!
In this episode, we are speaking with Gary Payne, Chief Executive Officer at the Wyre Council, a local authority nestled in North West Lancashire. Garry joined the council in September 2006 as Head of Planning, quickly climbing to Director of Planning & Regeneration and in August 2011 becoming the CEO.
He is the principal policy advisor to the council and is the returning officer whenever there is an election. He also has direct management responsibility for the three corporate directors.
